Boundaries between domains of traveling waves are studied in convectio
n in an 8% mixture of ethanol and water. A configuration is described
in which rolls move in opposite directions on either side of a domain
wall. Demodulation techniques are used to measure the interaction of w
aves across the boundary. It is found that rolls approaching the bound
ary with an oblique angle of incidence are reflected from the boundary
. The reflection coefficient and the attenuation of the reflected wave
are measured.
