Abstract
Propagation properties of the quasi-longitudinal leaky surface acoustic wav e (QLLSAW) along different directions on Y-rotated cut quartz substrates, s uch as on the 34 degrees, 36 degrees, 42 degrees Y-rotated cut, are investi gated. The advantages of the QLLSAW along some directions include low propa gation attenuation (less than 10(-4) dB/lambda), small power flow deviation and high phase velocity which can be up to 7000 m/s. A novel propagation d irection of the quasi-longitudinal leaky surface acoustic wave with the the oretical temperature coefficient of delay of 0.508 ppm/degrees C is propose d.
