Abstract
Some systematic approaches to the mathematical formulation and numerical re solution of the linear feedback control problem for tracking the velocity i n Navier-Stokes flows in a bounded two-dimensional domain with bounded dist ributed control are presented. Semidiscrete-in-time and full space-time dis crete approximations are also studied. Some computational results are prese nted and compared with analogous results from optimal control theory.
