Mechanism of failure of hydrolyzed casein films

A detailed analysis of the mechanical response of materials can be effectiv ely used in the elucidation of the structure-property relationship of polym ers. A methodology to quantify the viscous: elastic and plastic components on the analysis of the mechanism of failure is used for characterizing the visco-elastic and plastic behavior of the casein films. A thorough study on the influence of temperature on chemically modified casein seems to give s ome important information on the thermal transition behavior of this materi al.
