Density, viscosity, refractive index, and speed of sound data are presented
at (298.15, 303.15, and 308.15) K for polystyrene solutions of different c
oncentrations in 1,4-dioxane + tetrahydrofuran mixtures over the entire com
position range. These results are fitted to a fourth-order regression equat
ion to derive the coefficients. The standard errors between the fitted and
the experimental values have been calculated. Using the density and speed o
f sound data, adiabatic compressibility, molar compressibility, and specifi
c acoustic impedance have been calculated.
