Abstract
Two photoelectrochemical cells based on C-60-SAM-modified gold electrodes h ave been fabricated and their photoelectric responses with Ar- or O-2-satur ated electrolyte investigated. High quantum yields under visible light illu mination and without an external electron sacrificer were observed. A new a pproach consisting of casting an ion-selective polyurethane membrane on the C-60-SAM leads to improved stability of the photocurrent generation.
