Abstract
Poly( p-hydroxystyrene) resins with different crosslink levels have been pr epared by suspension polymerization. Their surface area (SA) and pore size distribution (PSD) were determined by the nitrogen adsorption technique, Ti (OiPr)(4) has been grafted on these supports, and the resulting heterogeneo us catalysts were used to promote the transesterification of methyl methacr ylate (MMA) with 2-ethylhexanol and the epoxidation of various alkenes with tBuOOH. The stability upon recycling of these polymer-supported titanium c atalysts has been assessed. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reser ved.
