Abstract
CF3COCl is effectively photooxydized when a gaseous sample interacts with a n illuminated TiO2 covered surface. The oxidation occurs irrespective of th e presence of O-2. The main products are CO2 and CF2O. It was observed that a poisoning of the catalyst occurred after successive runs and a partial r ecovery when ambient air entered the cell, thus, pointing to water as the r esponsible for the recovery.
