Abstract
The growth dislocations of two natural spinel crystals from Pegu (Burma) ha ve been studied by X-ray diffraction topography. The dislocation systems re ported in literature - [1 1 0] {1 1 0}, [1 (1) over bar 0] {1 1 1} and [0 1 1] {1 0 0} - have not been found in any of the two samples. Growth disloca tions of strong edge character - 1/2 [1 2 1] {1 (3) over bar 5}-not reporte d till now have been characterised. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All righ ts reserved.
