Abstract
Nanocrystalline CoS2 and NiS2 have been successfully prepared through a sol ventothermal synthetic route at 130 degrees C. The final products are chara cterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron micros copy (TEM). The sulfur-to-metal ratio of the as-prepared products is ca. 1. 99-1 and 1.98-1 for CoS2 and NiS2, respectively. TEM shows that with the ch ange of solvents, the morphologies of the as-prepared sulfides can be contr olled. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
