Abstract
The design of adjustable irises in rectangular waveguides is presented. The structure is characterized by a multimodal variational method (MVM). As a validating example of this procedure, a rectangular waveguide filter design with screws and tunable irises is presented. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical ones.
