Abstract
This paper presents data obtained in a systematic study on the bulk resisti vity of Korean bakelite as a function of temperature in the range 20-30 deg rees C and relative humidity in the range 35-65%. Strong dependence of resi stivity on both temperature and humidity was observed. Measurements were ca rried out in the framework of R&D work on Resistive Plate Chambers (RPCs) w hich will be used in the CMS detector. (C) 2000 Published by Elsevier Scien ce B.V.
