The exciting possibility of a neutrino source created by decays of muons in
a storage ring has been proposed as a second-generation source for long-ba
seline neutrino oscillation experiments. However, the enormous neutrino flu
xes available at such a "neutrino factory" are also ideal for high-rate stu
dies of neutrino interactions in detectors near the storage ring. I summari
ze the parameters of likely near-detector experiments at a neutrino factory
and discuss some of the physics opportunities possible at such facilities.
