Abstract
It is found that a laser with an anisotropic cavity containing an absorbing medium may exhibit no response of the output radiation intensity to the mo dulation of the optical density of the absorbing medium in the presence of a magnetic field. The conditions when this effect may be observed are deter mined, and its possible applications are briefly discussed.
