Abstract
A linear correlation between the electrochemical gap values (G = E-ox - E-r ed) and the energies of optical transition in the UV-vis region was found a nd justified for a series of non-bridged and bridged bent-sandwich zirconoc ene complexes with the general formula R(eta(5)-L)(2)ZrX2, where L = cyclop entadienyl (Cp), indenyl (Ind), fluorenyl (Flu); X = Cl, Me; the bridging g roup R = SiMe2, (CH2)(2).
