Abstract
In this paper we derive a formula for zero-avoiding transition probabilitie s of an r-node tandem queue with exponential servers and deterministic inpu t. Tn particular, we show that these transition probabilities may be interp reted as non-coincidence probabilities of a set of dissimilar Poisson proce sses restricted by a time-dependent boundary.
