Abstract
Phase and pore phenomena substantially influence the macroscopic flow of an alloy and the formation of macroscopic cracks. Experimental investigations on aluminum alloys show that pores can develop during plastic deformation, depending on the microstructure. Here perforated Al-alloys used to develop a model of micropores in Al-alloys, and so to have a physical basis for un derstanding their behavior during ductile fracture.
