Abstract
Sometimes, under the right conditions, nectar sources typically of minor im portance can rise to major status. Such is the case with the three plants w e consider this month. Snowberry, Bur Clover and Spanish Needles have histo rically, at certain times and in certain places, been the source of large h oney cross. As with most other uncultivated American bee plants, their rang e and density have decreased But wherever still found in any abundance, the se three plants remain of importance to nearby colonies of bees.
