Abstract
The Iterative Monte Carlo method for the simulation of the presheath o f an object immersed in a plasma has been implemented on the Gray T3D massively parallel computer. Two different approaches are discussed, a nd it is shown that both yield good performance as the number of proce ssing elements grows. Simulations for the case of a plasma moving alon g the magnetic field are presented and compared to an existing analyti cal model.
