The OMC simulator developed at the institute of Astronomy is designed to pr
oduce images with parameters close to valid OMC images from INTEGRAL spacec
raft. The simulator generates the star held with 5 degrees diameter and, op
tionally, bad pixels, bad columns and cosmic-ray events. We use simulated i
mages (primarily in FITS format) to test the centering algorithm (CeA). The
simulated images do not exhibit many features common in the ground-based C
CD exposures (hight sky intensity, width FWHM,...), but contain critically
undersampled stars and a great number of the cosmics, like from a real spac
e instrument.
