Abstract
We present the results from the BeppoSAX observations of Cygnus X-1 in its Soft State (SS) and Intermediate State (IS). A thermal component, consisten t with blackbody emission, is dearly detected in both states with color tem perature and luminosity in the intermediate state lower than those in the s oft state by about a factor 1.6 and 5, respectively A broad Fe K line is de tected, consistent with a Gaussian profile in both states and also with a d isk line model during the soft state. No significant change in the inner di sk radius is observed from one state to the other.
