The two transient sources GRS 1739-278 ( Vargas et al., 1997) and GRS 1737-
31 (Sunyaev et al., 1997) discovered by Granat/SIGMA in the period 1996-199
7 have been classified as BHCs on the basis of their variability and spectr
al behaviour. GRS1739-278 has been detected by the BeppoSAX Wide Field Came
ras (WFC) in the 2-10 keV range at a Aux level of similar to 150 mCrab, i.e
. a factor similar to 5 below the outburst maximum. The observations show t
hat the source is still in high/soft state. GRS 1737-31 has also been detec
ted in March 1997, its emission standing up clearly only at energies above
similar to 3.5 keV, suggesting a quite hard spectrum as also confirmed by o
bservations of the PCA and HEXTE instruments on board RXTE (Cui ct al., 199
7). We report here on a preliminary analysis of these observations and disc
uss the spectral parameters in some detail.
