Abstract
Following up on earlier observations, OSSE scanned the galactic center regi on during cycle 7. These observations, combined with cycle 6 and 7 observat ions of the galactic plane, have led to improved the maps of the 511 keV em ission. Two fundamentally different mapping techniques show similar feature s, and further the arguments for both the existence of a positive latitude enhancement and for intense bulge emission.
