Abstract
Extraction of microamounts of barium with a nitrobenzene solution of cesium bis[undecahydro-7,8-dicarbaundecaborato(2-)]cobaltate(1-) (abbr. Cs+B-) in the presence of 18-crown-6 (18C6, L) has been investigated. The equilibriu m data have been explained assuming that the complexes CsL+, CsL2+, BaL2+, and BaL22+ are extracted into the organic phase. The values of extraction a nd stability constants of the species in nitrobenzene saturated with water have been determined.
