Abstract
Inspired buy the cleavages that oppose literary sphere on the one hand, and journalism on the other, this article successively describes the divergent representations of writers and journalists since the 18th century, the for ms a systematic reconciliation of their practices during the contemporary p eriod took on, notably in theoreticians like Hayden White, and, finally, th e interrelationships linking politics and literature in journalistic writin g. The questions brought up in the conclusion deal with the real decline of the literary and journalistic forms of expression in the contemporary medi a world, a decline whose impact varies varies greatly according to the coun try ro the cultural milieu, which brings up and nurtures the reflexion on t he topics of their 'specificity' and of their particular kind of temporalit y.
