Abstract
A spatial resolution of about 4 (mu m)(3) of LIF is done in the present wor k. For such measurements, the photobleaching and possible thermal blooming become important because of the very high laser intensity at measuring volu me. The corresponding problems for the scalar measurement, calibration, the influence of laser power and laser dye concentration on photobleaching, an d the measurement of photobleaching are investigated. A simple photobleachi ng model is proposed.
