Abstract
We present simultaneous polarization current and dielectric measurements in the S-C alpha*, phase of the homologous n = 9 of a benzoate series, Two di fferent behaviors are evidenced as a function of temperature (near the S-A- S-C alpha* phase transition and near the S-C alpha*-S-C* phase transition) and attributed to temperature evolution of the S-C alpha* phase structure, The results are compared with those previously obtained for the homologous n =11.
