Brillouin spectra of partially deuterated triglycine selenate (similar to 5
0%deuteration) have been taken in the vicinity of the transition temperatur
e for longitudinal phonon configurations q \ [101] and q \ [011], Very weak
anomalies were observed at T(C)congruent to 27 degrees C, and the spectra
did not show up any feature indicative of the first order transition charac
ter reported from earlier dielectric constant and hysteresis loops measurem
ents.
