Abstract
We describe a case history of a 41-year-old woman who developed an allergic hepatitis with massive eosinophilia and elevated hepatic transaminases sec ondary to clomipramine, a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) drug, Although dru g-induced allergic hepatitis during tricyclic antidepressant therapy is ver y rare, one should consider this diagnosis in the ease of (right-sided) abd ominal pain and fever whenever a TCA is used, especially during the second month of treatment.
