Abstract
Methoxyterthiophene substituted with two terminal ferrocenyl groups was pre pared. The oxidation process and the oxidized state of the compound were in vestigated by cyclic voltammetry, coulometry, and electronic absorption spe ctroscopy. The measurements show that an oxidized species is first produced on a ferrocene moiety and definitely interacts not only with the methoxyth iophene moiety but also with the other ferrocene moiety. This indicates tha t the oxidized species spread over almost the entire molecule.
