A. Fabre et M. Alami, A PRECISE MACROMODEL FOR 2ND-GENERATION CURRENT CONVEYORS, IEEE transactions on circuits and systems. 1, Fundamental theory andapplications, 44(7), 1997, pp. 639-642
A precise and general macromodel that allows to describe the behavior
of the second generation current conveyors for a frequency range up to
about the gigahertz is introduced. It includes four controlled source
s and ten passive components. The ways to determine directly from meas
urements, the element values of a given conveyor are indicated. These
values are given for the translinear implementation of a second genera
tion current conveyor with positive transfer (CCII+), for +/- 10-V sup
ply voltages and a bias current I-o of 600 mu A. The simulation result
s obtained for this conveyor and for its macromodel were obtained in g
ood agreement. The results of an inverting voltage mode amplifier impl
emented from a transimpedance op amp are also found in accordance for
the amplifier designed from conveyors or from its deduced macromodel.
Experimental verifications are also given for an active inductance imp
lemented from the AD 844 transimpedance Opamp.
