Abstract
The present study reports on a patient undergoing invasive monitoring for i ntractable epilepsy who experienced different vestibular sensations after e lectrical cortical stimulation of the inferior parietal lobule at the anter ior part of the intraparietal sulcus. Types of vestibular response ranged f rom simple to complex sensations and depended on stimulation site and appli ed current. The findings suggest vestibular topography and hierarchical pro cessing within the parietal vestibular cortex of humans.
