Thermal conductivity of superconducting (Bi,Pb)2223 pellet in the temperatu
re range 20-170 It is reported. Electronic contribution to thermal conducti
vity in the normal state is estimated to be similar to 25%. Considering bot
h phonon and phonon + electron approach, we attempted to examine the observ
ed nature of the temperature dependence of thermal conductivity. Our analys
is strongly supports the role of phonons as well as electrons in the origin
of the thermal conductivity peak in the superconducting state. Some of the
microscopic quantities evaluated from the best-fit parameters obtained fro
m phonon; electron approach give reasonable values.
