Abstract
It is shown that a single impurity can produce a pair of bound states inside the gap of the s-wave van Hove superconductor. Both nonmagnetic and magnetic states have been considered using the Anderson Hamiltoni an. The results are discussed relative to the case of the classical sp in in the s-wave van Hove superconductor.
