Abstract
The electrical conductivity of a two-dimensional disordered system has been calculated taking into consideration an exponential density of s tates. The effect of backscattering has been calculated. For an expone ntial density of states the diffusion pole has been removed. In the om ega-->0 limit we showed that there exists a critical concentration tha t corresponds to the transition point from the metallic to the insulat ing phase.
