Abstract
The structure of title compound, C11H14Cl3O3, has been determined by d irect methods and refined to R=0.0583 and Rw=0.1572 for 736 independen t reflections. The crystal is monoclinic, space group P2(1)/a with a=1 3.150(9), b=9.388(6), c=11.302(2) A, beta=83.4(1)degrees and Z=4. The structure consists of discrete molecule with weak intramolecular hydro gen bond between hydroxyl group and one chlorine atom. Furyl group dis tances and angles are similar to those reported for furan.
