Abstract
A fast-convergent series solution for coupling through multiple slits betwe
en two conducting parallel plates is presented. Numerical computations are
performed to show the coupling characteristics for different slit geometrie
s and frequencies. Our theory is applied to the design of a wideband direct
ional coupler consisting of two rectangular waveguides. (C) 2000 John Wiley
