Abstract
Multiphoton nonsequential (NS) multiple ionization of Xe, Kr,Ar, and N O has been studied over a dynamic range of up to nine orders of magnit ude. It was found that the probability of NS ionization to any charge state is a linear combination of the tunneling probability to the prev ious charge states.
