The heights of melting layer bottom and top (i.e., rain height and melting
thickness) have been derived from the vertical profiles of radar parameters
of S-band radar measurements in Singapore. Results have also been compared
with the 0 degrees C height measured from the radiosonde data. Aspects of
height associated with peak radar reflectivity, linear depolarisation ratio
and Doppler velocity in the melting layer are discussed.
