Abstract
The interaction of Cu-II and Ni-II with the macrocycle L-2, containing an N-5-donor set, has been investigated. Conductometric titration wit h chloride indicated the formation of 1:1 complexes. The X-ray crystal structures of [CuL2](ClO4)(2) adn [Nil(2)(NO3)](NO3) . EtOH have been determined. The metal atoms in complexes are endomacrocyclic with Cu atom in a penta-coordinate environment comprised of the ligand N-5-don or set. The nickel atom is an approximately octahedral environment der ived from the ligand N-5-donor set and a monodentate nitrate anion.
