This paper presents the results of a James Maclaren Industries Tnc.'s print
quality evaluation on specific standard news sheets, produced on its Eel B
aie III. This evaluation was undertaken to determine the effects on print q
uality, following a change of the No. 1 backing forming fabric. The objecti
ve of the fabric design change was to maintain paper machine efficiency whi
le improving print quality. Previous attempts had resulted in lost efficien
cy and no improvement in print quality.
