Abstract
Polysiloxanes containing 3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyl groups were synthesized by two methods, copolymerization of cyclosiloxanes by base-catalyzed equil ibration and hydrosilylation of allyl glycidyl ether with hydrogen-containi ng silicone oils. The effects of various factors on the reactions were inve stigated. The structures and epoxy content of the polysiloxanes were determ ined by IR and H-1-NMR spectra and potentiometric titration, respectively. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
