Abstract
We present two examples where dynamic and discrete symmetries manifest them selves in experimental findings related to nuclear cluster systems, and ana lyze them in terms of the semimicroscopic algebraic cluster model. In order to incorporate discrete symmetries in the formalism in addition to dynamic ones, we propose extension of the model to multicluster problems.
