Abstract
The angular distribution for the breakup of SE on a Ni-58 target has been m easured at sub-Coulomb energies. The data are inconsistent with first-order reaction theories but are remarkably well described by calculations includ ing higher-order effects. The comparison with theory illuminates the exotic proton halo structure of B-8.
