Rs. Macwalter et al., The importance of identifying intracranial haemorrhage as a cause of transient focal neurological symptoms, SCOT MED J, 45(4), 2000, pp. 117-118
Until recently, there have been no reports of intracerebral haemorrhage pre
senting with transient neurological symptoms. We present two cases of intra
cerebral haemorrhage presenting as transient ischaemic attacks and discuss
the radiological changes on early and late CT scans. It would seem justifie
d to scan most patients presenting with TIA early to institute appropriate
secondary prevention measures.
