The results of studying the temperature and frequency dependences of the pe
rmittivity of Cd1- xFexSe (x = 0.05, 0.105, and 0.14) semimagnetic semicond
uctors are reported. In the frequency region of f < 10 MHz and at temperatu
res of T < 400 K, a thermally activated increase in the permittivity due to
the hopping mechanism of the charge exchange is observed. In the temperatu
re region of T > 400 K, transport over the bands becomes prevalent, which b
rings about a decrease in the permittivity and the disappearance of the fre
quency dependence of electrical conductivity. (C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka/Interper
