Abstract
New mixed V/Ce films at 55, 38, and 32 at% of V were prepared via inorganic sol-gel route by dip-coating technique. The absorption edge of prepared fi lms shifts towards higher wavelengths at higher concentration of added vana dium pentoxide. The indirect-allowed band gap (E-G) also changes in depende nce of added vanadium oxide from 2.8 up to 2.3 eV. (C) 2000 Elsevier Scienc e B.V. All rights reserved.
