Abstract
FT-Raman of solid rivanol (2-ethoxy-6,9-diaminoacridinium lactate C15H16N3O -C3H5O3 . H2O) and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) on silver surfa ce of rivanol solution at pH 5.5 have been obtained and compared. The assig nment of vibrational modes has been made for the monocation specie of rivan ol. SERS spectrum shows a physisorption of rivanol on the silver surface. ( C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
