Abstract
We have demonstrated a diode-pumped Q-switched Nd: YVO4 laser that produced ultraviolet output at 266 nm by using BBO single pass fourth harmonic gene ration. When the incident pumping power was 7.9 W,we obtained 63 mW output and IR-W energy conversion as great as 11% at 12.5 kHz repetition rate with per pulse energy of 5 mu J and peak power of 252 W.
