Information technology in general, and the Internet in particular, pre
sent both opportunities and challenges to business schools. While a nu
mber of institutions stand out as having creatively integrated technol
ogy into their curricula, current data indicate that the majority of h
igher educational institutions in North America are still searching fo
r direction. This article describes a real-world case study of a pilot
program for introducing and leveraging instructional technology via n
otebook/mobile computing. A primary objective of this paper is to prov
ide stimulus for thinking about how business schools can implement inf
ormation technology to improve pedagogy and strengthen their position
